Mark (from the UK) and Caroline (from Burkina Faso) were at Cornerstone in 2005. Now, with six year old daughter Naomi, they serve with WEC International in Banfora in the far south-west of Burkina Faso near the border with Ivory Coast
‘We are learning Fulfulde, the language of the Fulani people. At the same time we are seeking to build friendships with Fulani people in our area and to share the Gospel with them. Traditionally a nomadic people of herders, they have been settling in our region and very little missionary work is currently being done among them. Because they are nomadic literacy is very low. We feel that literacy centres are a strategic tool that God has given to us to reach the Fulani. We have already been able to open two centres in Loropeni and Logosso and have been able to visit several others in the region around Banfora.’
