The theology modules in the first year of study are designed to give potential cross-cultural workers and church planters a basic understanding of the Christian doctrines which are the fundamentals of orthodox belief and practice, held by all true Christian churches. An understanding of these truths is essential to be able to discern the errors in other belief systems, and to be able to communicate truth to those holding these other positions.
Module 3 builds on the earlier study in modules 1 and 2 of the attributes of God (especially Love and Justice) and the results of the Fall. Students study the nature of the person of Christ to appreciate his deity and humanity, and then the work of Christ on the Cross.
