The theology modules in the first year of study are designed to give potential cross-cultural workers and church planters a basic understanding of the Christian doctrines which are the fundamentals of orthodox belief and practice, held by all true Christian churches. An understanding of these truths is essential to be able to discern the errors in other belief systems, and to be able to communicate truth to those holding these other positions.
Following the study of the work of Christ in module 3, this module introduces students to questions related to the personal appropriation of salvation. The module concludes the course with a consideration of the final judgement and the Bible's teaching about heaven and hell.
