The writers and cartoonists of radically secular satirical French magazine are brutally murdered  by Muslim extremists because they published cartoons of Muhammed. The magazine responds by publishing a cartoon of Muhammed in tears, pardoning the killers. This results in mobs run rampant in North Africa killing Christians and burning their churches in the name of God…  What is the theological justification and/or logical sequence in all of that?

We can only trust/hope/pray/believe that many decent Muslims will begin to question the fundamentals of their own religion, and be led to Him who stated up front to his disciples “the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God” (John 16:2)
